Wayne's Milestone20th January 2012
May everyone here a YRadio take this opportunity to congratulate Wayne Madden on his Graveyard Shift show reaching its 2 year Anniversary! Wayne has been here since the first YRadio with Laura Robertson and has gone from strength to strength and may we hope he reaches more milestones here at YRadio. Congratulations Wayne!
YRadio Gig in February20th January 2012
YRadio is in the process of organising a gig at YMCA North Tyneside's YStudio in February, a variety night with music, comedy and maybe even a certain Steven Hesse performing. We will update you as soon as we have confirmed the acts and date!

YRadio is pleased to announce that our interview with Paolo Gregoletto from the band Trivium has been featured on the popular American Metal website Blabbermouth. New Vinyl Show and YRadio goes abroad21st November 2011
YRadio is currenlty in the process of producing a show about Vinyl's, playing a selection of rare songs from that particular era. Also YRadio is branching across the globe! Former station manager of YRadio Laura Robertson has agreed to be our travel reporter while she travels across Asia discussing a wide range of topics from diferent cultures. Look out for more details in the coming weeks.

As you can see YRadio is flourishing, producing around 15 shows a week. However as some may have noticed we are currnelty a male dominated radio station and we would like to change that! Do you feel the YRadio website is lacking something? Think you can present a show? Does your favourite show need a co presenter? Well, if you see an opening for a show on Y Radio, then write to us now at yradio@ymcanorthtyneside.org and let us know - it could be your first step to presenting a radio show of your own. Likewise, if scriptwriting, news or production is more your thing then you need to email us and let us know. The YMCA's mission is to "put core values into practice" and "help communities thrive" - if Y Radio sounds like your thing, then let us help you help yourself by becoming "a face for radio!"
